Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram is a non-invasive test used to look at the heart using ultrasound waves. It is one of the most prescribed cardiac procedures. It is done at the office and many times can be done on the same day of your visit. No special preparation is needed. You do not have to be fasting or to stop any of your medications.

Coastal Carolina Cardiology has three full time echo technologists. Our Echo lab is accredited by the "Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories" (ICAEL) .
