Preop Consultation

Your surgeon may want you to see a cardiologist before undergoing a certain surgery. This may be due to one of many reasons. Most commonly, such referrals are triggered by an abnormal preoperative electrocardiogram, known history of heart disease or presence of multiple risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Your cardiologist will advise you whether there is a need to do any testing or pursue any treatment prior to your surgery. We will make every effort to complete the evaluation in a prompt manner so as not to delay your surgical date. A report of the findings and the recommendations will be forwarded to your treating physician or surgeon.
