Dr. Shammas and Dr. Jones are currently providing cardiac catheterization and stenting procedures via the radial artery approach. This approach allows placing the catheters and performing the procedure via the small artery in the wrist of your hand instead of the larger femoral artery in the groin. This is more convenient for patients, allows early ambulation and has been associated with a lower risk of bleeding complication.
